General

What is Lody?+

Lody (Lody Try On in the app stores) is an AI app that shows hairstyles, hair colors, makeup, outfits, jewelry, tattoos and piercings on your own photo.

Is Lody free?+

Lody is free to download on iOS and Android. Creating looks uses credits, and you can get more inside the app.

What photo should I use?+

A sharp photo in even light. For hair, makeup, jewelry and face piercings use a front-facing selfie. For outfits use a photo that shows your body. For tattoos show the area you want to tattoo.

Can I save and share my results?+

Yes. Every result is saved to your gallery with a before and after view, and you can download or share it.

How accurate are the results?+

They are realistic AI previews made to help you decide. Real results depend on your stylist, artist or piercer, your hair, your skin and more.

Outfits

Can I try on my own clothes?+

Yes. In the Fitting Room you can scan a photo of an outfit and Lody detects the pieces in it, then you can add them to your wardrobe and try them on.

What kind of photo works best?+

A sharp, well-lit photo where your body is clearly visible, ideally from head to knee or head to toe, facing the camera.

Can I change the color of an outfit?+

Yes. Pick a style and then a color, or tap a piece in the outfit builder to recolor it.

Is the outfit try-on free?+

Lody is free to download. Generating looks uses credits, and you can buy more inside the app.

Hair

Can I change only my hair color and keep my cut?+

Yes. Choose a color and leave the style on No Change, or do the opposite to try a new cut in your natural color.

Does it work with short hair?+

Yes. You can try long styles on short hair and short styles on long hair. A clear view of your face and hairline helps.

Are there styles for men?+

Yes. Buzz cut, clean fade, textured crop and medium side part are all included.

How realistic is the result?+

Lody uses AI to blend the new hair with your face, lighting and photo. It is a preview, so use it to decide, then let your stylist make it real.

Makeup

Can I try only a lipstick color?+

Yes. Leave the look on No Change and pick a lip color, or pick a look and keep your own lips.

Does it work if I am already wearing makeup?+

It does, but a bare or light-makeup selfie gives the most accurate preview.

Which makeup looks are available?+

Natural, soft glam, smokey eye, glam evening, bridal, bold dramatic, glass skin, retro vintage, editorial and sun-kissed.

Can I use it to plan wedding makeup?+

Yes. Many people use the bridal and soft glam looks to decide on a direction before their makeup trial.

Jewelry

Can I try earrings and a necklace together?+

Each generation applies one jewelry type and material. Save the results and compare them side by side in your gallery.

Which materials can I try?+

Gold, silver, rose gold, platinum, pearl, diamond, emerald and ruby.

What photo works best for earrings?+

A front-facing photo with your ears visible. Pull your hair back or tuck it behind your ears.

Is jewelry the same as piercings in the app?+

No. Jewelry covers necklaces and earrings. Piercings is a separate category for helix, septum, nose stud and other piercings.

Tattoos

Can I upload my own tattoo design?+

Not at the moment. You choose from the tattoo styles in the app and Lody creates a design in that style on your photo.

Which placements can I try?+

Forearm, upper arm, shoulder, upper back, chest and collarbone, wrist, ankle, behind the ear and neck.
